SCUBAKRETA PRIVACY POLICY

Scubakreta Diving Center understands that your privacy is important to you, and is committed to respecting and protecting your personal data, which is any information that is capable of identifying you as an individual person. This Privacy Policy covers personally identifiable information that may be provided to or obtained by Scubakreta Diving Center during such interactions and describes how it will handle and protect your personal data in connection with your interactions with Scubakreta Diving Center, in its capacity as data controller.

Scubakreta Diving Center (refaired to “us”, “we”, “diving center”, “center”) in this document, takes privacy very seriously and will never use or sell your data other than for contact and arrangement of a diving excursion.

The first part of our privacy policy concerns data collected when you visit our website (Scubakreta.com) and when you contact us via digital media.

 

The second part of our privacy policy concerns data we collect on physical paper when you visit our Diving Center and want to participate in any diving activity (PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, PADI training courses, as well as any diving excursion as a certified diver). 

PART ONE: WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY
What type of information does Scubakreta collect?

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

How do we collect your information? How long do we keep it?

When you want to contact Scubakreta for information regarding our porgram, or in order to make a booking, we ask for your name, your email address, your phone number (if you chose to share it) and your diving certification level (if you have one). We might receive additional data that you send us voluntarily in a message through email, or contact form, or on our socials. We don’t officially keep track of data provided to us though social media, we strongly advise you not to send personal information to us that isn’t relevant to the service we provide.

When we receive your email, we keep it for a few months up to a year, in order to arrange our services according to your booking. If you wish to request information or to make a booking more than one year before your planned visit to our center, we might keep your email until after you have dived with us.

Any response that you give on our social media channels (Instagram or Facebook posts) will remain posted until you delete it yourself, or the channel decides to archive or delete your messages. When we decide that a response is compromising in any way, we are free to delete that response.

Why we collect such personal information?

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Services (arrange a diving activity with Scubakreta)

  • To provide our users with ongoing customer assistance and booking support;

  • To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

  • To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

How we store, use, share and disclose site visitors' personal information?

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows present our services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

We also use Google Analytics as mentioned bellow in the “cookies” section and IT Service providers that collect reviews or supply hosting arrangements.

Social media

We use social media channels to provide community info. Mainly Facebook and Instagram. In order to see our social media on these channels, you have to accept their privacy policy. These channels collect a lot of your personal data on their behalf. Note that we are not responsible for such services. These channels do not return personal data to us.

Other third parties

We are also obliged to share customer information with government authorities in the case of suspicious situations. We will not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for profiling.

How we communicate with our site visitors?

We may contact you to notify you regarding your booking request, to resolve a dispute or service issue, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail, depending on what data you have agreed to provide us.

Your rights

When it comes to your personal data, we respect your rights. You’re entitled to ask us to edit your details, delete them completely, or restrict their usage. How do we use cookies and other tracking tools?

We can’t live without cookies, so we obviously collect functional cookies. These cookies help us to give you the best experience while browsing our website; such as monitoring whether you view our content on your mobile, desktop, or tablet, so we can display the website properly. You do not need to give us permission to serve you these functional cookies as they are essential to proper function.

We also use analytic cookies. We use Google Analytics and these cookies help us to figure out what costumers like. We do not collect your individual data for our Analytics. We collect anonymized data such as your region and how long you have visited the website.

Privacy policy updates

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.

PART TWO: PRIVACY POLICY ON PHYSICAL MATERIAL DATA COLLECTED AT OUR DIVING CENTER

When you want to participate in any kind of diving activities, you need to sign waivers and liability releases, as well as other forms, such as a medical questionnaire. We collect this data on physical from only which you sign when you arrive at our diving center.

What information does Scubakreta Diving Center obtain? How is the information used?

For participants in Discover Scuba Diving program and Scuba Diving Trips program, Scubakreta Diving Center may obtain participant name, mail address, telephone number, email address, gender, birth date, emergency contact, certification/participation date, certification level, associated PADI Member name(s) (individual professional and business members) and member number(s). We may also obtain Medical Information in the participant record; these information stays absolutely confidential and only Scubakreta Diving Center and you could have access to them.

For participants in Training Program / Diving Courses, we may obtain participant name, mail address, telephone number, email address, gender, birth date, emergency contact, certification/participation date, certification level, associated PADI Member name(s) (individual professional and business members) and member number(s). We may also obtain Medical Information in the participant record; those informations stays absolutely confidential and only Scubakreta Diving Center and you could have access to them

Scubakreta data retention policy

For participants in Discover Scuba Diving program and Scuba Diving Trips program, Scubakreta Diving Center will not conserve any Digital Trace of your information. The information that you consent to give trough the documents ``Scubakreta - Application for Scuba Diving - PADI Medical Statement / PADI Discover Scuba Diving Participant Statement`' Will be held for a duration of 1 year, after that those documents will be destroyed.

For participants in Training Programs / Diving Courses, Scubakreta Diving Center will hold an electronic copy of your documents for a duration of 5 years, after that those documents will be destroyed. Also, by participating in the Training Programs, you must understand that PADI may obtain participant name, mail address, telephone number, email address, gender, birth date, certification/participation date, certification level, associated PADI Member name(s) (individual professional and business members) and member number(s). 

Disclaimer: You are further informed, understand and agree that the business activities of Scubakreta are independent from PADI /// it is not responsible for, nor does it have the right to control, the operation of PADI activities or the day-to-day conduct by PADI.

Your rights

Where granted by local law, you may have the right to request access to the personal data that Scubakreta Diving Center has collected about you for the purposes of reviewing, modifying or requesting deletion of the data. You may also have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we have collected about you and to have any inaccuracies in that data corrected. In certain circumstances, you may also request that we cease processing your personal data.

To help protect your privacy and security, Scubakreta will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as requiring a diving certification and personnels information, before granting access to your personal data. Scubakreta Diving Center will make reasonable attempts to promptly investigate, comply with, or otherwise respond to your requests as may be required by applicable law. 

Different laws may prevent Scubakreta Diving Center from providing access to your personal data or otherwise fully complying with your request, depending upon the circumstances and the request, such as for example, where producing your information may reveal the identity of someone else. 

Scubakreta Diving Center reserves the right to charge an appropriate fee for complying with your request where allowed by applicable law, and/or deny your requests when they may be manifestly unfounded, and/or excessive, or otherwise objectionable or unwarranted under applicable law. In addition, and where granted by local law, you have the legal right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

As a participant/user of Scubakreta Diving Center programs, services and websites, you are informed, understand and agree that PADI Members are licensed to use various PADI Trademarks and to conduct PADI training, but are not agents, employees or franchisees of PADI. You are further informed, understand and agree that the business activities of Scubakreta are independent from PADI Members, and are neither owned nor operated by PADI. While PADI establishes the standards for PADI diver training programs, it is not responsible for, nor does it have the right to control, the operation of the PADI Members’ business activities or the day-to-day conduct of PADI Members or the supervision of divers by PADI Members or their associated staff.
